Dancehall culture still is the nearest thing today that an African in Uganda can connect with another African in the west indies or around the world,
the only difference is the language but culturally they're the same.
The dictatorship in Uganda has seen this culture as a new voice of the youth and they have rushed to be there too-which is very sad.
Why I say so is because they've tried to import in top acts from Jamaica but failed to impress the home crowd because the setting was wrong and Dancehall turned into Pophall!
No Dancehall party can be a success without the girls! Dancehall flavour of Gaza still has not reached the Ugandan youth as the culture is now being hijacked by government criminals.
The state is interfering in this culture and making it look yak!
However, all is not lost as the youth are now holding their own bashments underground.
For any Dancehall fan that intends to visit Uganda in the future should wait till we link up as you'll be disappointed if you just go there at the invitation of other people that are very likely to be government criminals-governments don't make dancehall it's the community that does.
